SEO Infographic – Black Hat Monsters of SEO

A few days ago I posted a colourful SEO infographic that was designed to outline a few basic white SEO techniques. White Hat Monsters of SEO

Black Hat SEO Techniques

Of course I could not show one side without shedding a light on the other. So I put together another infographic. This one draws attention to the fundamental black hat SEO techniques, in an attempt to dissuade SEO newcomers from employing them.

Black Hat SEO can produce rapid results and shoot your site to the top of Google, but your fall will be equally as quick and dramatic. Leaving you scratching your head, trying to come up with White Hat SEO ways to regain your traffic. Start the right way. White Hat all the way.

I agree with Tushar Thankur. The web is flooded with crappy black hat SEO services promising significant SERP movement in a short period of time. I’ve learned this the hard way, when I first started IM, I naively bought some of these link building services and practically ruined the website which all these spammy links were targeting.

Going back on-topic, nice info graphic Gecko! I had a lot of fun reading it. The message is clear: black hat SEO is not worth it.

I think the worse offender has to be the SEO community on fiverr. Buying your “high quality backlinks” there is a huge mistake. It seems easy enough, with potentially great gains. Although this couldn’t be further from the truth.
Glad you liked the infographic, it was fun to make.

The best way that you can be on the top of Google and stay there for the longest amount of time is to use White Hat techniques. These are all long lasting techniques that will produce great content as well as revenue that would benefit both you and your visitors.

Sadly a lot of people do support black hat methods, I suppose this trend will continue until Google finds a solid way to penalize their actions affectively.
